In short

LearnBabo is a study timer for your phone or tablet. It is free.

Everything you enter stays on your device — we never get to see it.

You can stop using it whenever you like. If you delete the app, your data is gone.

If we later change these rules in an important way, we will ask you again whether you agree.

1. Provider

2. Scope

These Terms of Use govern your use of the LearnBabo app ("the app") between you as the user and the provider. By accepting these terms, an agreement on the use of the app is concluded.

The Privacy Policy is not part of this agreement. It informs you about what happens to data; it is read, never accepted.

3. If you are not yet an adult

The app is aimed at school students. If you are under 18, please read these terms together with a parent or guardian.

No costs arise for you: the app is entirely free, contains no purchases and no advertising.

4. What the app does

The app is a local study timer. It lets you

• plan and measure study time (freely or using the Pomodoro method),
• assign a study session to a subject,
• create your own subjects,
• review your past study sessions,
• silence distracting notifications during a session.

The app provides no learning content, checks nothing and grades nothing. It does not tell you whether you studied correctly.

5. Free of charge and without warranty

The app is provided to you free of charge and as is.

The provider owes you no particular availability. The app may contain errors, and its further development or operation may be discontinued at any time.

In particular, the app is not a backup system for your data. Your study sessions exist only on your device. If the device is lost or reset, the data is lost; the provider cannot restore it, because the provider never had it.

6. What you may not do

You may not modify the app, take it apart to obtain its source code, or pass it on or sell it as your own product.

The app itself, its name, its logo and its texts are protected by copyright and remain with the provider. The study sessions and subjects you enter are yours.

7. Ending your use

You may stop using the app at any time and without giving reasons. There is no notice period and nothing to cancel.

You can delete all data stored on the device by

• choosing "Delete my data" in the settings, or
• uninstalling the app.

Both are equally final. The provider retains nothing, because the provider received nothing.

8. Liability

The provider is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health.

In cases of ordinary negligence, the provider is liable only for breach of a material contractual obligation, and limited to the foreseeable damage typical of this type of contract.

Any further liability is excluded. Liability under the German Product Liability Act remains unaffected.

9. Changes to these Terms of Use

These terms carry a version number in MAJOR.MINOR format.

• If an obligation or the data processing changes, the first number increases. The app will then present the new terms for acceptance before you continue using it.
• For corrections, clarifications and wording changes, only the second number increases. No renewed acceptance is required.

If you do not accept an amended version, you cannot continue to use the app and may delete it. Data already stored is unaffected and remains on your device.

10. Governing law

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected.

11. Authoritative language version

These Terms of Use are available in German, English, Spanish and French. The German version is authoritative. Where a translation and the German version differ, the German version applies.

12. Severability

If any provision of these terms is invalid, the remaining provisions remain effective.
